About our Mindfulness-Based Creative Programs for Youth

‘To The Beat’  is a Mindfulness-Based Creative Program for young people. It is a progressive, philosophy-led journey that blends mindfulness, creativity, and reflection into a safe, fun and engaging experience for young people.

Guided by our unique Soul Shine Methodology, each session combines Mindful Awareness practices such as breathing, meditation, gentle movement, and sensory noticing with hands-on creative exploration and reflection.

At its heart, the program is about giving people space to slow down a little, notice what’s going on for them, and explore creativity in a way that feels open, supportive, and free from pressure or judgment.

What We Explore

Rooted in established mindfulness principles, the program creatively explores themes such as awareness, curiosity, non-judgment, patience, trust, acceptance, and letting go. Sessions may include mindfulness exercises, breathing practices, gentle movement, meditation, process-based art activities, creative journaling, and reflective discussion.

Rather than focusing on artistic skill or perfect finished products, we focus on the experience of creating itself, experimenting, playing, expressing, and learning more about themselves through the process.

Connection is at the heart of everything we do. Sessions incorporate playful ways of connecting and learning more about each other, working together, as well as time in their own creative zone.

Who It’s For & Benefits

Designed for teens, the program supports participants in developing mindful awareness, emotional literacy, resilience, confidence, and self-expression in a safe and inclusive environment.

It’s especially valuable for young people who benefit from creative, hands-on learning experiences or simply need a space to slow down, reconnect, and be themselves.

By blending mindfulness and creativity together, participants develop self-awareness and practical skills that can support their wellbeing, relationships, learning, and everyday life.
